What is NFC Card?
Near Field Communication (NFC) is a technology that allows devices, such as smartphones and tablets, to communicate with each other and with NFC-enabled cards when they are placed in close proximity, typically less than 4 inches (10 cm) apart. An NFC card is a card that contains an NFC chip and can be used to perform a variety of tasks when tapped against an NFC-enabled device.
Some common uses for NFC cards include:
Mobile payments: Some NFC cards can be used to make payments at merchants that accept NFC payments.
Access control: NFC cards can be used to unlock doors or gates, or to grant access to restricted areas.
Public transportation: Some public transportation systems use NFC cards for ticketing and fare payment.
Loyalty programs: Retailers and other businesses may use NFC cards as part of a loyalty program, allowing customers to earn rewards or discounts by tapping their card against an NFC reader.
Event ticketing: NFC cards can be used as tickets for events, such as concerts or sporting events.
